Very disappointed they broke in just a few months

I fitted them to my wife's HHR. They went bad pretty quickly! Less than a year of use. I replaced them with some Autozone lifetime warranty shocks. This is my first disappointment with KYBs and I have fitted them to many cars.

Pros
  • Specially calibrated to restore original GM vehicle handling and ride
Cons
  • Exchange availability

Great rear shocks for Chevy HHR!

I am VERY happy with the KYB shocks on my 2007 Chevy HHR 2LT with FE3 Sport Suspension. They featured Eibach springs and a rear TTR anti-roll bar. The results are amazing. The ride quality is excellent even with lower springs, I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • Triple chrome piston rod and multi lip seals to reduce wear
Cons
  • Low repairability

doesn't quite fit Chevy Cobalt 07

, this didn't fit my 07 Chevy Cobalt perfectly, I had to sand it down a bit to fit these bumps. They are good quality and my car is smoother. It's been three weeks and no complaints other than a bit of grinding to get the shock in place.

Pros
  • Solid seamless mounting tabs and stud bushings to prevent rattling
Cons
  • Requires socket

Waste of time: shocks, struts and suspension

Not for 2011 Chevrolet HHR LT. The upper shock mount is 2mm wider than the stock shock mount. waste of time. The description on the website is WRONG. The width of the KYB eyelet is 48 mm. I went to Autozone and measured the Gabriel Ultra Shock/Strut rear stays/shocks. Part number: 69587. Gabriel's eye width is 48 mm. It doesn't fit my 2011 HHR LT. I didn't buy it. I went to Advance Auto and bought a MONROE 5779 damper to fit a 2011 HHR LT. The width of the Monroe lug is 46mm. The problem isโ€ฆ

Pros
  • KYB recommends replacement shocks OEM
Cons
  • I won't tell
