Proezdil on them for almost 2 years and then replaced.

They were used for almost 2 years and then replaced by Bilstein 5100. Improvements go day and night. They worked and controlled the ride, but were too stiff.

Pros
  • The perfect solution when you need to improve the suspension performance of your Toyota Land Cruiser.
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Will not fit my 3rd generation 4Runner

These dampers were a poor choice for my 1998 4Runner. For me they are too stiff and offer a too harsh handling. You will feel every bump in the rear. You will feel like you have no depreciation at all. Got new Rancho 9000xls shocks today. It's day and night. Why didn't I do it the first time. Don't repeat my mistake.

Pros
  • Rubber boot to protect the shaft and keep dirt and debris out of the seals
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Fantastic price if you like stiff shocks

Love these shocks on my 1994 Land Cruiser. It has never handled better than I've owned it. At the same time I installed OME springs in "standard height". Some people say they're "stiff," but I'm pretty sure they're the same people who prefer the "isolated" marshmallow feel when driving. I cut myself driving a Fiat Spider with KYB gas shock absorbers so I prefer good road feel and am very happy with them especially for their price!

Pros
  • Maximum performance increase with up to 40% more damping efficiency over stock shocks
Cons
  • Little things

Road test with African parts

I live in Zambia, Africa. The shocks I bought were for a late 90's Toyota 4Runner. I often drive on very bad gravel roads and occasionally long stretches on asphalt. Driving on tarmac involves turning to overshoot and sometimes hitting large potholes. The shock absorbers I replaced were original and the car has clocked almost 100,000 miles. I am traveling with an empty or loaded car with up to 10 people. My use of these shocks far surpasses anything people in the States can experience and I…

Pros
  • Monotube truck design outperforms all other standard shock absorbers
Cons
  • Big and bulky
