KYB KG4012 Gas A Just Gas Shock Review

These shock absorbers will NOT fit my 1990 Toyota 4X4 DLX pickup as per the description, they are NOT wide enough for the studs. Also, the rubber boots are too tight, I had to drill them out a bit, no fun.

The shock absorbers are amazing and have greatly improved my Nissan Frontier, the top nuts that come with the front shock absorbers are easy to remove when tightened (and the suspension is supported), replaced with some 8-degree double mother and everything is fine. .

Bought on someone's recommendation for my 38 Dodge truck 1/2 ton. Should be way better than the plain generic ones still being sold for my vintage truck. I can't wait to test them out once the restore is complete

My old Nissan 4X4 needed new shock absorbers. According to reviews, KYB is considered reliable and high-quality with the same driving characteristics. After installation, the ride is empty or fully loaded. Comfortable ride did exactly what I wanted.

I fitted them to my 88 Toyota 4WD pickup. They fit (the first set I ordered didn't fit. They were for 2WD so be careful when ordering. Luckily I was able to get my money back) and the price is very reasonable. I bought the truck new and never changed the shocks (32 years old) so the ride seems a lot more stable. I also replaced the steering damper.

I bought these for the back of my 1986 Toyota pickup (22R engine, half ton, standard bed, 2wd) and they have been working great since September 2012. From I haul heavy loads from time to time, so I need something more productive than the standard. I used to have regular blue Monroe rear shock absorbers but after 3 years they broke. I'm guessing it was the 1200 pounds of construction debris I lug around sometimes.

Replaced some old Monroe gas shocks with these. While they've greatly improved ride and handling, I'm not sure they're as good as the Monroes were when they were new. The Monroes were much heavier and larger in diameter. KYBs wobble noticeably when undressed; the worn-out Monroes still didn't have the wobble. I don't know if the shaking affects performance, but I'm curious. It is very difficult to compare shock absorbers without testing several different brands on the same vehicle. I would call
