Budget option: solar and wind power

When I got this charge controller I wanted to see what it could do. After I connected it, I had to remove it. At 20 amps it can't take much. This is an absolutely simple controller and should only be used for a small PV system. If you only have a few panels and are short on cash, this would be a good starter controller. If you have more than a few hundred watts in a 12v system, this controller is not for you.

Good for what it is

Here you get what you pay for. This is the bottom section of the solar controller. Suitable for use with one or two panels and one or two batteries. Needless to say, a good controller. When using it for applications that don't require heavy lifting. I actually burned mine, but that was my fault. Tried to smash through a lot of amps. Good value for money, small size, suitable for solar boxes, simple menu navigation, front cable connection.

This is an inexpensive solar charge controller with minimal functionality but it works well. I set up a small test bench to test its functionality. Since it was pouring rain outside, I had to settle for an internal test that didn't demand much from the solar panel. However, I was able to check the settings. The biggest difference I see between this controller and more expensive controllers is that you have to set your parameters manually. For example, other controllers have a battery type…

Working, but nothing special

In terms of display and operation procedure, this solar PWM controller is almost identical to another similarly priced controller I own. The manual that came with this controller is just as badly written as the others. I spent a lot of time figuring out how to work with the other controller, so I had no problem figuring out how to work with this one. It is actually quite simple. First connect the battery.
