durable and non-stretchy

Great deal when you need something durable that does not stretch and very fast shipping. . . . I received it within 48 hours of ordering.

happy purchase when rowing

great for my husband and I when we set up our hammocks and canopy when camping. Its light weight and also very difficult to tangle. I love that it doesn't hold as much water as other cords and it really helps when you're packing up after a rain.

Pros
  • very good price
Cons
  • weight

Versatile and durable

Once you learn the basics of using hollow wire, the possibilities for this material are endless. I've made end-to-end loops, hammock ridge lines, tent ridge lines, and guy lines. Also used to hang a bear. It gets tangled and you need to know how to use a stick to haul up unexpectedly heavy loads when the people you're traveling with tend to repack groceries and want to share your bearish hanging cord.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Excellent camping lanyard

I have decided to use this as a camping lanyard. I use it for a ridge on a 13 x 20 tarp with a couple of cam locks and it never loses tension. I can hang and dry my camping gear without losing tension. It also withstands rain well. I also use it for all stretches/connections and it has proven to be exceptional. It's also very compact compared to paracord. Probably the best camping accessory I've ever had.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

No mess for rowing and sailing

First tied to a truck and walked until they rolled out to the end. Attached to a cardboard tube. He leaned back and stretched out. We unclip the pipe and go back to the truck. Now he squeezed it between his fingers and twice went to the end. Then he fed it into a throwbag. Thrown against a tree more than 12 times and not a single ball came out. I'm currently buying another one. I bought yellow, I would like a different color for the double lines in the tree.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Great for hiking.

I attached a tarpaulin to this rope and made ultra-light carabiners out of it. It's durable but a bit slippery. Slip resistance is good for carabiners, but using it to secure a tarp requires some knowledge of knots. I wouldn't use it as a taut line without some device to keep it taut. I have these things so this line fits my needs well. If you plan on using this for hiking I would highly recommend this. Use your ingenuity and imagination to make it useful in many applications.
