Excellent pencil sharpener! I like the versatility of the different sharpness settings. Ideal for colored pencils that require a blunt tip for easier shading. On the other hand, the sharpest setting is VERY sharp, which I like for my #2 pens. The battery option is very convenient. I can sit at my desk and sharpen my pencils while I paint instead of getting up and going to a pocketed sharpener.

Most electric sharpeners sharpen unevenly, meaning one side of the pencil does not fully expose the graphite and the other side is exposed. Not this sharpener! It's hard to explain, but when a pencil is fully sharpened, there is no resistance when it is fully sharpened to the right size. This option allows you to sharpen your pencil without eating the entire pencil. Really great sharpener!

I expected the wooden part of the sharpener to be short, like buying a pencil, so I didn't like this sharpener at first. But now that I see that the description only says color dot, I see that it works exactly as described. It also sharpens very quickly.
