Easy to use pressure gauge

High water pressure is bad for the water pipe and very bad for the water hoses of appliances and toilets. Out of curiosity I ordered this one and fitted it to the outer tube so that in the event of a leak there would be no problem. The installation is very easy. I used a quick coupler on the spigot and this gauge. I also caulked the threads on the quick coupler before screwing on the gauge. I reset the red arrow, turned on the faucet, took 80 off the meter and left it on overnight and saw if it

Disappointed with the current pressure gauge

I was disappointed with the LDR 020 9645 gauge. As others have pointed out, the red arm is so loose that it's unreliable. The main problem is water leakage as others have pointed out. I am a retired refinery engineer with extensive experience of high pressure fluids, piping components, seals etc. This gauge has a design and/or manufacturing defect. When I first installed it on a faucet, it leaked significantly at the point where the gauge connected to the faucet. I thought the gasket might be…

Pros
  • Water only
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Suitable for general household use

The pressure gauge is very easy to use. Just connect it to the hose fitting closest to the pipe and turn the water on to full pressure and you will get a water pressure gauge. It also has an adjustable red limit arrow that shows where the maximum pressure has gone. The red arrow on the indicator wobbles a bit, it's too loose. It may fluctuate slightly due to inaccurate readings, but I still think it's close enough for normal readings. Maybe I'll take a closer look later to see if you can…
