Misleading - fuel system

1/4" ID ordered, 3/8" ID received, describes Continental or Goodyear hose, unnamed hose. The product was described as "LDR Industries" and came from Jackson Supplies.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Operating speed

Very poor quality control

Poorly constructed, hose not centered. This means there isn't the same amount of support around the hose, making it a weak point for the entire length of the hose. So much for the best quality made in the USA.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Used as a PCV hose - lines

I used it as a PCV hose, worked fine. Note, however, that the PCV hole is smaller in diameter than the intake port on the intake manifold side. This hose fits the PCV side but not the intake manifold side. So you need to expand the end of the hose on the intake manifold side by heating or some other way.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Package says NOT FOR UNDER HOOD USE

Package says NOT FOR UNDER HOOD USE which doesn't leave you much room to use the fuel hose. I don't know why it says so and how important it is, but if the manufacturer says it on the box, it must mean something, right? This should be listed in large bold so people can make an informed decision.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Off fashion

Be careful to get a different hose than pictured.

I have received a non Goodyear brand hose as shown in the photos and also has a different spec as per Max PSI/Max Temp. Considering it will be in my engine bay (for the catch can setup) which gets pretty hot I bought it based on the Max Temp spec. I am not happy that I received a hose that is different from what I bought and pictured.

  • Best
Cons
  • Negative Impression

Fuel hose not for fuel lines, interesting

I bought this for basic fuel transfer from a boat and it works great for that. but don't leave it plugged in, it will seep into the fuel and turn it brownish-orange-red. a bit painful because I was going to use it to connect an external tank, but I didn't want the hose to contaminate the fuel going to the engine so I had to use a different hose. but it still works fine for transmission only.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • A few small things

I ordered this to replace the fuel line from the fuel line.

Ordered to replace the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carburetor. Received fuel and packaging says "not intended for fuel injection, biodiesel, or under-the-hood applications". Not under the hood? Where do you think the fuel lines are located? I will send it back and go to the local parts store. I also went back to check the description and it doesn't say anywhere that it can't be used under the hood.

Pros
  • Inspires Confidence
Cons
  • There Is Doubt

Flexible, Durable, Great Value

Although technically a fuel line, I used it on a recently purchased oil pan to divert exhaust from my truck's PCV system. After reading reviews of the trap the hose that goes with it wasn't the greatest so I pre-purchased this hose and am very happy with it. It's thick, durable, and even reinforced with metal (similar to a tire). We've only been using it for a few days but so far so good!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Unreliable

THIS IS NOT A GOODYEAR PRODUCT

It is advertised as a 'Goodyear' product with a picture of 'Goodyear' proudly hanging on the hose, presumably to improve Goodyear's reputation through the Selling too washed out, so that's such a problem. Although it appears to be of good quality, they infringe Goodyear copyrights. If a seller wants to sell their product as a Goodyear product, they'd better ensure that the product meets Goodyear's standards. Otherwise, remove Goodyear product photos and build your reputation. I bought itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Not everything fits
