Great buy for the wall control

Easy to install, looks great/works well. I also like the fact that it has top speed as the first setting and then slows down with each subsequent turn. This is how it should be so that your fan motor is not subjected to too much stress from a setting/speed that is too low. Turn the fan on to maximum for about 1-2 seconds, and then set it to minimum.

Works as advertised

Easy to install replacement ceiling fan switch in common room. Looks nice. The old switch had a round plastic handle that kept slipping off. This switch is durable and looks high quality. I like the latches that make it easy to move the switch to the desired position. I recommend this as a good replacement for a ceiling fan switch. Note: The switch plate must be ordered separately. I bought mine cheap at Revain.

Excellent operation but with an annoying error

Pro: Works, the fan doesn't make any noise. Disadvantages: The rotary switch has no knurling. It's round, smooth, and very difficult to turn, so you won't be able to turn it if your hands are even slightly wet. I usually turn on the fan (above the dining table) right after dinner is prepared/served. I wash my hands before I eat and always have to put my shirt on to turn the knob. It would be the perfect item if it had a knurled handle. My kingdom by the knurled handle!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good Quality Device: Wall Controller

This speed controller does the job I expected it to do with no problems. The build quality of the product appears to be good and I was impressed that it includes bezels and control knobs in three different colors ranging from pure white to beige. The instructions provided also seem clear and easy to follow, which will be appreciated by people who may not have much experience installing/replacing electrical components like this. In terms of operation, the speed controller offers 4 different…

Good switch but needs some work

The switch was bought to replace an earlier model of track that was having problems. This switch was easy to install and easy to use. The only issue is the lack of clear activation - the initial speed setting has no final click or position to activate the fan, forcing me to play it back and forth until the fan kicks in. Although the other speed settings seem to activate just fine. I bought several of these and found all of them to have the same problem. The switch is an improvement over the…

Multiple fan cycles with no sound and at very slow speeds.

I used this controller in my garage to control 3 metal fans. Not sure if I'm not using it like I'm supposed to or if it's the fans it's attached to, but at MAX it sounds like a helicopter taking off, but at high speeds it's about half as fast. , the average is about a quarter of the speed, and at low speed the blades almost do not rotate. If you turn the fan to minimum, the blades don't even spin. I have to run it at one of the other speeds to get them moving and then switch to low. I think the

I am stingy but not easy to please.

I tried this option as it was the cheapest of the well-reviewed fan switches when I preferred this approach to the remote control version of my two new ceiling fans. It didn't disappoint: it looks, feels and behaves like a much more expensive device; If I were to estimate the cost I would say easily $25-40. The low price bothered me at first as other "budget" switches have been panned in their reviews and you get what you pay for. I can assure you that while it isn't the most stylish and modern

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Clarity

All the fans of our construction company had a switch failure in 4 months. After messing around with replacing obscure fan switches that were never quite right, I decided to leave the fans high (whichever worked) and control them with this wall switch. I really wish I had thought about it beforehand. Unlike some fan switches, no hum. No one. They have 4 speeds instead of 3, which is actually not bad, although I didn't think it would make a difference. And the speed positions are fairly easy to…
