Tray Latch Failure - Computer Components

I would like to give this product 5 stars because it does a great job of maintaining the quality of LG's electronic features in addition to its clean, minimalist appearance. That's pleasing to the eye, except after about a year and a half the tray won't close and thus becomes unusable. Everything else about it turns on and still seems fine. I don't know how the internal locking mechanism works, so I can't tell what's wrong. I'm very easy on my equipment. That means: I don't press any buttons, I

It works great for the first 6 tracks or so

This product sucks! I bought to import audiobooks to my computer that doesn't have a CD drive. I've had it for less than 24 hours and it's stopped working. It works fine for the first 6 tracks or so, but when it hits the end of the disc (any disc) it stops importing and makes an awkward grinding noise. I am attaching a video of the question. The instructions state that this disc is compatible with MacOS. NO, THAT IS NOT SO. DO NOT BUY THIS LG IF YOU PLAN TO USE IT WITH A MAC. My MacBook Pro with the latest Sierra OS does NOT recognize this LG drive. I contacted LG and got a reply telling me that if I want to use the LG drive I need to download different programs from different websites. Better than Apple external DVD drive

I have an external Apple tried DVD players, but I didn't like them. As an Apple fanatic, it's very rare that I don't like one of their products, but I've burned myself on two iMacs from the boot and eject slot malfunctions. The external LG has manual tray loading that seems much less likely to fail. This is a very lightweight and portable external drive. Not as expected! fits external components

I am very dissatisfied with this purchase. After using this external DVD player for homeschooling my child for 30 days, it stopped working. When my husband called LG for support, they said we needed to buy movie playback software because our 30 day trial had expired. Who would buy a DVD player and then have to buy a second piece of software to play the movie! There is no mention on Amazon, on the box, or instructions in the box that you need to purchase any movie playback software. I don't have
