Amazing B/UP Camera

Nothing to complain about. I was looking for a cheap b/up camera and after looking at similar but more expensive models I settled on Lastbus because of the price. I can honestly say it lived up to my expectations and then some! The picture quality is HD, the night visibility corresponds to more expensive models and the processing is more than sufficient. Installation took 45 minutes and a reversing light was connected on the 2003 expedition. The supplier was prompt (response within a day) and…

Cons
  • boring packaging

Works great on 4G and Wi-Fi about 10% of the time.

This is an update of my first review. As mentioned the installation instructions are not technical so I had to do some research on how to connect the camera power to my turn signal. Google and YouTube are your friends when you need information. It's been a few months since I became a product owner. I always have to remember to switch my phone to 4G or the camera won't connect/take a picture. My phone has no trouble connecting to the wifi set up for the camera, the camera doesn't send a signal…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Not sure

I've been using the LastBus 170 reversing camera for about a week now and I'm very happy with it. This is my second backup camera on my 2012 Nissan Frontier pickup. The first from another manufacturer, purchased from Costco, had a separate, freestanding, dedicated screen that was cumbersome on the dash next to my phone, and the connecting cables broke several times. Also, the image quality on the old device was mediocre at best. The LastBus 170 uses my iPhone, which I usually mount on the dash…

Camera works as advertised

Firstly it will NOT be as good or updated as the new cameras that all new cars come with. This is a good and EASY quick fix when you CANNOT drill new holes in a classic car or need to save money. It's easy and gets the job done. I connected the camera temporarily and tested it first and downloaded the program. I see people complaining about the program, I have Android 7 which works fine. No problem. The only problem I had was that it didn't fit in the limited space in my trunk. I could alter…

Hope this helps

first note that if you can't hide the black wire through the connector next to the license plate lights or near the license plate area, you will need to drill a hole in the middle of your truck. Lay the cable to the LIGHT CABLE. If you stretch the cable to the reversing light, the connection to the phone via WiFi is too slow. Don't expect the camera to turn on immediately. The camera needs to connect to your WiFi network before the image is displayed. It may be too slow when you put it in…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something else

My truck didn't have a backup camera and I didn't want to spend a lot of money upgrading the system. After reading mostly positive reviews, I decided to try this solution. Here's what I think of the LASTBUS Wireless License Plate Backup Camera... The build quality is excellent. Heavy steel license plate frame and camera body. The wiring seems to be of good quality (not flimsy and cheap) and the connections are tight. the license plate light on the passenger side as I wanted the camera to stay…
