Just what my 4runner needs to tow!

Saves my truck every time I tow it. I installed them on my 2001 Toyota 4runner. I was able to install them without removing anything other than the rear wheels. I used a saw to cut the fenders to the correct height and then just slide them in. Then I routed the hoses up and to the rear bumper where there was already a hole behind the fenders. It is easily accessible yet difficult to see. It's been about 4 months and they haven't lost any air. I drive around town at 5-7 psi, and when towing my…

Easy to install and efficient

I installed them on a 1997 Toyota 4Runner 4WD to reduce rear sag when towing heavy loads and towing a small RV. With some ingenuity and the occasional swearing, I was able to install them without removing the springs and lower shocks. However, if you have a garage lift or large enough jacks, I would recommend removing the springs and other components per the instructions. I've had them installed for a couple of weeks and with normal use they run at around 8-10psi (seems to improve the ride a…

Easy installation. fits shocks, struts and suspension

First let me be clear that they will fit the '97 4runner, although Revain claims they will not! Second, I take my hat off to those who install them without removing the springs. It must have been a terrible fight. Personally I find removing the spring very easy and allows for a no fuss installation. Either way, installation is easy and the instructions are clear and to the point. I was a little worried the ride would suffer after installation, but to my surprise, as noted by some other…

Accessible. but be willing to work for it

The video shows they can be fitted in minutes - this was not the case on my car (4runner '97). The rubber discs must be mounted first, to do this the springs must be removed. unless you are as smart and smart as me. Using a combination of jacking and prying with an aluminum channel, I was able to open the springs briefly and deploy the rubber washers, then deploy the airbags. (Of course I didn't win baby safety poster of the week, but I still have all my fingers and a shoulder ;) In terms of…

Feels like new suspension!

READ THE LATEST OARAGRAPH IF YOU THINK NEW REAR SPRINGS IS THE BEST OPTION. I am very happy with the Air Lift pads. It took over an hour to install, but it was pretty easy and a fun project. I would give this 5 stars but I am very disappointed that they made the price cheaper by sending a plastic t shirt. I hate plastic but after going to 5 different hardware stores and car dealerships I couldn't find a brass tee to install in time. When I tried to put the second hose on the tee it just…

*UPDATE #2 and #3* for Air Ride Kits

Car - 2001 4runner Use - daily driver and car camping (roof top tent) Gear - Camping gear, clothes and food for 2 people. Skill Level - Former ASE Certified Mechanic, determined per instructions provided. I put 5psi in them to make sure they held air and they did. We camped twice. After installation in just a month, one of the bags has a hole and won't hold air. I'll post again after telling what I found, even if I did that on install. I'm wondering if any of the lines (at the connection point…
