Now it works great!

The problem with this lift is that if you have just opened your garage door you will have to wait at least a few minutes before using this device to close the door. It blinks randomly and until it stops it doesn't work! I suspect it has something to do with the timing and I don't know if that can be changed. Most of the time I find it frustrating having to open my car to close the garage door. UPDATE: Make sure you don't have an LED bulb in your garage door opener. Apparently this is a known…

Easy physical installation but required a tech support call.

Pros: Physical installation took 5 minutes with drill and screwdriver. 5 Stars Timing with the opener and programming the pin was easy. 5 stars minus: After installation, the garage door opened without entering a PIN. Just press ENTER and the door will open. Called support and a few minutes later the tech told me to press and hold buttons 1 and 9 for 10 seconds. That helped. Apparently it was in "One Touch" mode and pressing those buttons disabled it. It's easy to make, but it wasn't in the…

Use the instructions in your Liftmaster manual that came with your garage door opener. Much easier. I have a Liftmaster 8500 model. I couldn't get the keyboard to work using the lengthy instructions that came with it. I found the manual and there it was. So easy. If you have a Liftmaster 8500, program the keyboard as follows: 1. Double click on the learn button on the MyQ control panel (the red learn LED will light up). 2. Enter the 4-digit PIN of your choice on the keyless keypad. Then press…

The product is good but the instructions are unclear

Overall a good product. It seems solid and relatively easy to program after looking up how to do it on YouTube. otherwise I probably never would have made it. I have a PURPLE learn button and the instructions aren't right for me. Here's what I did to make it work: Note. Once you start you only have 30 seconds to finish, so don't delay! 1) Press the purple learn button 2) Press and hold * and # together until the keyboard stops flashing 3) Enter your 4 digit PIN then press # 4) Press ENTER twice

5 STARS + Installation Tips

Recently replaced my old garage door keypad with a LiftMaster 877 Max (aka device). Got it a day early from Revain and installed it in about 1 hour - including moving cars, stairs, installation etc. Please note my setup was designed to run two single garage doors. Here are some installation tips that may be helpful: The device comes with an installed 9V battery and is ready to use. The device can be fully programmed from the comfort of your kitchen table (or any other location of your choice)…

Easy to install but may not be required!

Our Liftmaster keyboard has been in use for about 17 years, the keyboard once stopped working. So I changed the PIN to require different keys. This change worked for about eight years. Recently, the keyboard has been unreliably activating the opener. A YouTube video recommended improving the connection between the keyboard and the 9V battery. Specifically, the solution was to gently tap the centers of the two circular clips that attach the 9V battery to the keyboard. It worked! But to do this I

Remote Garage Door Opener

Bought this to operate my second garage door. I installed the same model to operate my main garage door and by applying the lessons learned installing Unit #1 I was able to install it in about 10 minutes. Here are the steps I followed. First I found a tall ladder just below the door opener. I took the remote control and directions up the stairs. Although the programming is very simple, there are a few ambiguous statements in the instructions. My opener has a purple "learn" button that…
