wonderful item

My mother-in-law knitted me the most beautiful scarf with this yarn. It was only when I asked for another yarn in a different color that I found out that Lion Brand no longer makes this yarn. I was grateful that I had found enough for a second scarf at Revane. I would like three balls of champagne.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other choices

Working with Trellis Yarn

I like the color of Trellis Yarn, but I don't like the texture. It's a little rough. I would not use this yarn to knit a scarf. It would be better for a belt, for a fringe, or for something you wouldn't wear next to your skin. As for crocheting with this yarn, it's a bit tricky because there are a lot of open stitches and your needle can accidentally get caught in them. Can I recommend this yarn? Probably no.

  • Decent Performance
Cons

Fast and fun

With big needles, this yarn makes great, fast scarves. But beware - once your friends see them, they all want to too. What sets this grid yarn apart from others is the size of the colored areas and how it captures and reflects light beautifully. This takes a little getting used to as it's about half air so it's easy at first to snap the yarn and mix up the stitches, but after a while I got used to it. I'm pretty sure Lion has discontinued this type of yarn, so if you like it, buy it soon!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here
