Lion Brand Yarn Hometown Madison Mustard 1-Pack Review

I ordered this by mistake when I was going to order yellow fast and thick. I didn't notice it right away, so it's too late to do anything. It has a beautiful color, is pleasant to the touch and soft, but the threads easily unravel when crocheting. I will not buy this again.

I started learning to knit with a smaller yarn count and it was difficult for me to see the stitches. I bought this yarn and it was a lot easier to see and learn. I bought another one to complete my scarf. Very nice bright yellow. I look forward to the finished product!

I've bought several skeins of Hometown yarn and they are always soft and chunky. Sometimes on smaller projects I just unravel it, split the four skeins in half, and then use two skeins as if it were regular slip-stitch sized yarn. I love how easy it is to use whether split or full because it's always soft and smooth. One of my favorite crochet brands and one of my favorite Lion Brand types!

I don't know if this is a problem at the factory or if I got the skein back but found it was in the middle while knitting I noticed that the yarn was previously "torn" and then tied/knotted again. As if I sold 2 pieces of yarn tied into a skein. I've used different brands of thread in the past and this type of 'knot' to tie the two ends of the thread together has never been in a skein. to hide the "knot" but I'm afraid it might break eventually.
