🔒 Lippert 281285 Never Fail Shackle and Bolt Kit: Ensure Double Axle Reliability Review

I am not very satisfied with the quality and packaging of this product! I also doubt the bushings advertised will ever fail because they are white and appear to be the same as the nylon bushings I can get anywhere. The existing screws also seem to be of better quality than these! This seems to be the only way to contact the suppliers so I would appreciate a reply otherwise I will send it back and order from your competitor.

My first order of this product arrived and it was plain white nylon bushings, not Neverfail bushings. It's a little suspicious because there's no "Lippert" written anywhere on the box, nor are there any instructions or papers. The replacement order also includes only nylon bushings and again no reference to a Lippert part. The packaging simply says "universal tandem axle kit". Pulling the parts out of the trailer, I was surprised to find that most of the bearings were gone and the forks had turned into a large oval. Pros: Sockets feel solid Negatives: No instructions. I used a hammer and a vise to press the studs into the brackets before mounting them on the trailer. I started with a 20 ton press but the hammer worked fine. I also used a hammer to slide them into the trailer mounts. The screws aren't grade marked so I'm guessing they're not even grade 5. If you are planning to purchase this item, you MUST read this first. Do NOT (should not) use any lubricant or grease when installing OR after installing these bushings. Every bit of lubrication, no matter how small, destroys the Neverfail material within a short time. Third, ONLY USE the straps provided IF they are the same thickness or thicker than the one you are removing.
