This is an excellent tool for removing a stuck oil filter. It's basically a set of jaws that clamp onto the oil filter, and using a 3/8 pry bar or ratchet makes it easier to unscrew the filter than by hand. It is only used for removing, do not try to use it to install. The only complaint I had was the spring that came with the tool to keep the jaws closed.
