He's annoyed that I'm doing this but likes to break things again

My bird destroys his old toy but leaves chains or poles behind. I will put new things in their place. He's upset that I'm doing this, but he enjoys destroying things again. I know as soon as this box is finished I will order it again.

good addition to DIY toys

Making your own toys is a great way to get lots of acrylic paints to use over and over again. Bonus - lace and leather strips. and the associated quick links. about 4 are spring loaded and very easy to attach. Also the quick links have an extra metal ring about an inch in diameter which was a nice surprise.

Doesn't discolor quickly. Red paint spattered the entire cage and walls!

I bought a wooden set for medium and large hooks. Our cockatoo threw the pieces of wood into the water as soon as she broke the rope - no wonder, because I knew she would do just that. But the paint from the wooden parts bled terribly and then we had red spatters all over the cage, walls and floor! Now I'm concerned that this dye might not be safe. The packaging says non-toxic and safe, but I'm curious. Absolutely NOT dyed quickly. The only way to use these parts is to hang the toy on her tree…
