I used to buy these for cast iron skillets and this is the first set that has been different. They're thinner than before and just too thin to hold a pan without burning your hands. Lodge, if you are reading this, please give them back the original materials and production process! They are decorative but useless, in fact they border on dangerous as someone could drop the pan if the heat seeps through the fabric.

This little hot grip holder is exactly what I wanted. It glides smoothly over the handle and prevents you from burning yourself. I have several Lodge pans that are stunningly beautiful and are favorites in my kitchen. I expected the Lodge handle holders to fit my Lodge pans well, fit perfectly, work well, resist heat and flame. Unfortunately they don't do any of that and the only reason I didn't give them a star was because they didn't immediately catch fire when I put them in the pan.
