Description of ๐Ÿณ Lodge Skillet 10.25" Dual Handle Pan: Efficient Cooking Essential

10.25" seasoned cast iron dual handle pan. The right tool to sear, saute, bake, broil, braise, fry or grill. At home in the oven, on the stove, on the grill or over the campfire; great for induction cooktops. Brutally tough for decades of cooking. Made in the USA.

I love this pan! Ordered the next size up!

Just received my 10.25" Lodge Dueling Handle pan! It is in perfect condition and I was so surprised to see that it comes with 2 silicone grips! I love this pan! I've been using Lodge pans for many, many years (about 50 years actually) and they have never let me down. I'm so impressed with this pan that I just bought a Revain and ordered the 12" model! These two handle pans are especially good as I have arthritis in my hands right now. Of course, their grab bars have been a great help for manyโ€ฆ

High quality cast iron pan

I really like the two handle feature of this pan. I love cooking on cast iron but have a hard time lifting and moving it with a traditional handle. The presence of two loop handles makes using this panorama more convenient. I ordered the 10.25" size which I use most in the kitchen - I just leave it on the stovetop for quick access. It came pre-seasoned with a smooth finish and no obvious flaws. Used twice and had no problems. Easy to clean with the MYQGSD brush with silicone insert, which Iโ€ฆ

This is Lodge Chugun!

I have been using the Lodge 13" Cast Iron Skillet for several years now. The frying pan has proven itself and is often used. IMHO the best pan for searing steaks. A mistake when caring for a cast iron pan is putting it in the dishwasher. Grooming requires a few extra steps. The reward, however, is food. The downside to this order was the packaging. Two cast iron pans were ordered without any packaging material! This caused the pots in the box to move and come into contact with each other. Thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Available in white only

Not as smooth as old cast iron I have

I have lots of old cast iron including pans. I have all the old cast iron smooth inside from below, this one doesn't. I don't know if it's because they don't process them or if they expect the build to smooth out the roughness. But I like the pan in general and will work on the surface myself. Used the pan for the first time and it is non-stick itself with plenty of oil. Sugar from sausages sticks to the cooking surface. The lodge doesn't seem to be doing anything to finish the hob. I will work

I received the wrong item but it was a nice gift

I ordered a 10-1/4" pan but received a 12" pan. It wouldn't be a problem but I wanted it for the stove in my RV and the 12" size is a bit bigger than I would have liked. I wanted to return it for a replacement but saw it was out of stock. So I was debating whether to keep it or not. A friend mentioned that he would like one for Christmas so my decision was made for me. As for the skillet, that's Lodge. The castings are a little rough if you're used to antique cast iron, but they're very strongโ€ฆ

Excellent frying pan although rusted on arrival

At the end of the exposure I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. The pan itself, like all Lodge pans, is excellent. I spent almost an hour reading Lodge's product reviews and found a lot more than mine - a bit of rust or chipping in the spices on arrival. Since Lodge does not have a good way to control storage, packaging, handling or shipping, once delivered to the seller it is simply impossible to blame Lodge. As for me, I just count on reseasoning each new cast iron upon arrivalโ€ฆ
