. Obviously, in normal use, the cable cannot even support its own weight. I bought it to use with my computer. They have never been moved after plugged in, never crimped or touched by hand, never twisted or folded for storage. I do NOT and never have insulted or despoted my stuff. I also didn't find them as comfortable as I had hoped. They can only be adjusted to a limited extent and kept slipping off my head. This is of course my own problem and not a defect in the product. I do not recommend.

Note I received a REPAIR version for use at work. The sound quality in the headphones is normal. They can be a bit uncomfortable to wear for long periods and my head is almost too big for that (I wear medium sized hats). The boom is long enough to hold the mic in front of my mouth, but even so, this headset's mic couldn't pick up the sound clearly, requiring a lot of repetition and still not producing correct word output. They last longer than any other cheap pair and I treat headsets like disposables. My only complaint is that after months of heavy use, abuse, and general neglect, the cable's plastic coating near the connector (where most of the bending and general acrobatics occur) has finally torn and I can see the exposed cable. I have had many Logitec headsets with call center experience so I chose this one for my computer. While this works well, I have a hard time adjusting my head to find a comfortable seat. When I adjust the fit of the strap on my head, the earcups don't fit snugly around the ears, leaving a gap at the bottom. I bought two of these on April 4th 2011. Today (08/31/2012) I finally switched to the second one. The first lasted for a year and four months of intensive daily use. That's 10 to 16 hours of heavy use every day, seven days a week. I paid $13.22 for them and about $2.25 for shipping. So these headphones, which cost me around $15.45 at the time of purchase, have given me about 6,500 hours of use. and the only reason I'm switching to the second one now is because I'm too lazy to open the first one

I have been buying these for many years, they are good budget headphones. They're great if you don't need the more expensive stuff but also want the mic on your headset. Headset adjustability is limited by the fact that half of it is massive. If you have kids who love breaking things or playing with things, get these as they are cheap to replace when they break. I've only had this headset for about a week. It works well, just as I expected and wanted. I bought an iPhone adapter (pc headset to smartphone adapter, dual 3.5mm to 3.5mm) along with it in case it is needed. It's not like this. My 2009 Macbook Pro has two microphone/speaker ports that work with two cables on the headset. However, the adapter allows you to connect/disconnect your headset by swapping one cable instead of two if you wish. I haven't tried the headset adapter with my iPhone yet…
