I'm a big Logitech fan, but I'd stay away from that smoky hunk of cr@p. good build quality, great battery life, works well on glass (that's the only reason I bought it overpriced). Cons: It peels off and the scroll wheel (horizontal and vertical) is intermittent. It's also not compatible with Logitech software that allows you to change settings. Basic mouse function always works well, but horizontal and vertical scrolling is intermittent / stops working at the worst possible moment. If you…

New drivers not compatible with older Logitech mice and keyboards

I use an older MK710 keyboard and Performance Mouse MX in my document at work and an even older mouse when traveling or without a docking station. I bought this mouse to replace my old travel mouse, but unfortunately Logitech does not support backward compatibility of their drivers. I installed the new software version 6.90.138 that came with the mouse and no longer had access to the old MX mouse and MK710 keyboard settings. That's a problem. I uninstalled the new drivers and reinstalled…

Good mouse but I'm spoiled by the 1st gen version.

I really like the first generation of this product. After 4 years of repeated falls at meetings, the buttons started failing, so I bought this model. In general I like the product, but there are a few comments. 1) Previously, the 1st generation version came with a soft case. I'm not sure why they couldn't include this back in for the premium you pay for this mouse. 2) I haven't had enough time to test durability, but the build quality seems to be significantly cheaper in this version compared…

  • A few little things

I bought this mouse after seeing Anywhere 2 for sale and the old VX Nano was probably my favorite laptop mouse - I decided to spend the few extra bucks on the latest and greatest. Pros - Tracking - I haven't tried it on glass, but tracking is smooth on some surfaces (wood, plastic, etc.). Size and weight - I know it's a matter of taste, but the 2S size is a good size for a laptop mouse, small but not painful, and a good weight for a small mouse. Smooth/Clicky Scroll Wheel – A user selectable…

Very good mouse - beware of super loud key clicks

I've been a long time fan of Logitech mice and keyboards and have tried a few older MX Anywhere models over the years before purchasing this MX 2S. . I've always liked the MX series because I prefer a small, maneuverable mouse and I find the forward/back buttons on the side so handy that any mouse would be stupid without them. This MX 2S appears to glide more smoothly and track more accurately than the original MX. The battery is also a nice change from the old battery-powered model, but using…

The best mouse? I do not believe anymore.

Edit: I don't know what to think anymore. As an engineer, the mouse is my most important work tool. That's why I've always bought what I believe to be the best mouse on the market. But over the past 10 years, a pattern has developed in these mice. I have so many because after a few years they always and systematically go bad. I kept buying a new one because I gave them the leap of faith when in doubt and always switched to a new model when my old one broke. But this time my MX 2s broke after 8…

Reasonable replacement for the legendary VX Nano

I loved my VX Nano. Nothing could beat the VX Nano, not even the MX Anywhere 2S. But it's close. Ah, so close. The form factor is the same. Very small in the hand, fits comfortably on the wrist. The switchable hyper-scroll wheel is still there, and the app switcher button is still programmable to hotkeys (as are my favorite features in the VX Nano: assignable hotkeys per button, PRO app). My gripe, and which is less than the king of the hill VX Nano, is that the forward/back buttons are now…

It is great. but also kinda awful

I am both very satisfied and very disappointed with this mouse. It does a lot of things very well, but they're overshadowed by some really quirky design choices that make me wish I'd bought a cheaper, smarter mouse. Mouse with excellent tracking and long battery life, get this mouse. However, if you want an intuitive mouse that works without thinking, keep looking (and skip any Logitech mouse that offers "super-fast, incremental, precise scrolling by pressing the scroll wheel") ----- First…
