Tried in a sleep hut for a small 2 lb Yorkie pup (she ripped up paper pads) Works great, doesn't mess with it and has it when she needs it. I spray it with a Come Here scent to let her know that this material can be used as paper pads that she uses during the day when she's being watched.

When Chihuahuas want to sleep with their mother, I put them down so they don't get up. The little ones are a bit big for a chihuahua but that's ok. Nice plastic back so no crashes unless they miss the pad. I've had other washable pads where the backing washes out fairly quickly. They seem more substantial, I expect them to last longer.
