I used these to secure one of my double doors in my barn extension. Works great, always holds a door securely unless I need it to be open.

Used these to replace almost identical ones on a barn door. Old plates are very thin and cracked. These are just as thin. Mounting plates bend easily. In the picture they looked stiffer than in reality. I'll try a bigger (stronger) alternative.

I needed these to replace my existing door hardware as they were obsolete and broke around the same time. I installed them with no problems. These are beautiful and durable heavy duty door latches that hold up well. It's so beautiful it's a bit hard to open the door but I love it! They are fixed very securely.

I installed one of these in the back of the barn to enclose it. I only open this door from the inside, so I use a finger loop as a doorknob to pull the door to the closed position before locking. In the unlocked position, it remains below the upper edge of the door. In the locked position it sits deep in the mounting hole I drilled in the rocker panel. It was easy to install into the plywood with a simple screwdriver. That was perfect for my application.
