Works well as advertised. I ended up cutting the case to tilt it at a higher angle and moved the scale to my welding cart (I changed the settings a few times with my foot) and changed the cable so it came out the other end. Now it's perfect.

Unpacked the product and hooked it up to my welder and it powered the torch straight away and did not shut off. After inspecting the foot pedal, I found that the foot pedal itself made no contact with the microswitch. pretty poorly designed if you have to remake something you buy based on the fact that it's plug and play

The pedal is used to turn on and off rather than control a variable amplifier. If you've been using the Tig pedal before you know you've set the maximum gain on the rotary control, you can adjust the foot pressure for the number of amps you want to use, up to the maximum you preset. Unfortunately, this is the maximum value, on or off, with no difference between the two, but it makes things a bit easier than having to trigger with your finger tig.

I'm not new to welding but I'm new to TIG welding. I bought this pedal and tried to weld with it and only with the help of the machine. When I used the machine's amperage settings it seemed like you had much better control over how much amperage you wanted to use without burning through the metal. When you pedaled, it felt like you hit or missed. I'm a perfectionist so this annoyed me.

There is a regulator on the front of the pedal to limit the current to the pedal. Having that control is fine, but having it pre-pedal where it can be abused isn't much. The pedal is usable, but has too much resistance. Using this pedal is like putting the pedal on a brick. It would be nice if the pedal was closer to the floor like I've seen on newer models.
