Description of πŸ”§ Convenient Lu-Hawk R134A Self-Sealing Can Taps with Valve Core Removal Tool – Easy and Efficient Refill Solution!

Works for all R-134A cans. Doesn't matter if it is the new EPA-required self-sealing freon can or the old-style single puncture bottle we got you covered. Both our refrigerant can tap valves are made from brass, yes even the silver-colored self-sealing. The output is 1/4" flare, with a NEW 1/2" ACME adapter. We listen to what you the customer wants and have fixed the hose size issue with a free adapter. Our valve core removal tool works on all Schrader valves; from a compact car to a full-size Truck. When selecting tools we look at quality, and function only. That is why we supply brass valves instead of aluminum. If you're not 100% satisfied please return it to Amazon. We buy tools we use on our vehicle, if it isn't to your standard let us know. Only add R-134a to the low side (blue). "R134A flow" depends on the pressure differential between the can and the system. The can "cools" and the can pressure drops as you add it to the system slowing the flow of gas. Some people flip the can over and add liquid to speed things up, but if the liquid doesn't disperse before the compressor it can destroy the compressor. The slowing is not due to the valve or any other tool, it is just how it works.

Good quality otherwise useless

I install AC on special hot rods, I don't use my instrument setup every day. I wanted to have them handy so I could use the new 12 ounce cans with a valve on top. The canisters fitted very well but the hose fitting is not suitable for hoses specifically designed for R134a. The faucet is too small. . I had to go to the NAPA store and buy it to get my work done today.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • thin

Too short for self sealing jars

Nothing is more frustrating than after replacing the condenser and vacuuming the system for 1.5 hours to find that the pin for self sealing jars is too short or just too short not working. Also, the pad crumbles after being popped out of the can a few times, and guess where all the scraps end up? To your expensive air conditioner. Stay away. I have used or wasted cans of Weitron and Chemours. Freon should be refunded to me

Pros
  • Good product for the price

  • Some cons

Doesn't always open the can valve. Not suitable for pressure gauge hoses

A valve for freon bottles with self-closing taps did not open the tap. The pierced valve actually worked better with a self-sealing jar. None of these will fit Robinair's pressure gauge kit. If you are using it with a gauge kit, make sure the hose threads match those faucets. Otherwise, make sure you have a faucet that clearly shows that it comes with the required adapter.

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

This type of can fitting is notorious for poor hose threads and poor sealing. But these Lu Hawk faucets are reliable! No leaks at hose threads or around valve stems. They just work the way they're supposed to. And compared to others I've used, these are by far the best. The quality is there and they are all solid brass and not pan, zinc or crappy aluminum alloy. If you're working above 100 degrees and running freon through pipes at 30-40 degrees below zero, solid brass won't shrink or start to…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
