Ideal for light/medium loads (motorcycle)

The plastic security hooks are removable but this net is just what I needed to secure various items on my bike. I use it most to keep my helmet on my bike when I'm not riding as I don't trust leaving it on the handlebars. For light and medium loads, this is great. If you had something heavy I'm not sure it would have the strength to hold it. However, great value for money.

Will work for cargo net for a while

Wasn't expecting too much for the price. It took about a year, which is quite acceptable for such a price. Eventually the inner elastic started to fall apart and became a series of elastic sections and thread-like sections. The hooks also lost their rubber tips very easily. It also gets tangled easily. But I'd say it wasn't a bad buy for $6. It probably would have lasted longer in a more static roll than is often fitted to a bike basket.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Requires outlet

It is great!

I don't know why some are complaining, I love this thing. Mine came with metal hooks with no scratchy plastic plugs, they seem pretty solid. I use mesh on my BMW F650, strained on a case-by-case basis because it works great and holds my book bag pretty well. I would say it's too big to use on a bike without panniers, it's bigger than an ATV rack. Need a small one, look for another.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Vulgarity

It stretches well but the SMELL is TERRIBLE - HEADACHE!

The elasticity of the cords seems to be strong. The hooks are too small to hang on normal motorcycle frame parts. They reek of smoke - they smell like hot steam macadam - cause vomiting/headaches when around. I hung them on top of our backyard fence to see if they would give off gas. I plan to leave them outside for a couple of weeks before bringing them back to see if the smell has gone. As it is, I wouldn't want her around.

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

It's more suited to medium loads

I used it on my Can Am Ryker trunk. One mesh held up normally, but I had to connect a few sections. The mesh stretches too easily so it needs a little training or it will shift on turns and stops. I can see that the two areas are already thinning and watch for possible breaks. That being said, I've used this network along with another for several months in both cold and hot weather. I wouldn't use this to secure anything more than my small bag or packed lunch.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Well done? NO, BROKEN KNOT!

Poorly finished. Just got this in the mail today and looking at it I wouldn't trust it to protect my gear. The knots are poor and the ends are tied in such a way that it seems like they will untie at any time under tension. To be honest, I think I could build a better web myself. The bungee cord also looks messy, especially around knotted knots, I feel it has a high risk of breaking in those places. Also, the hooks are not the same as in the picture, they look more flimsy. I am very…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

quality goods. best outdoor accessories

I have already bought two of these. The first one has worn off a bit after about 2 years of continuous daily use (plus a couple of years of occasional use), but it still works. Bought a second one as a spare. So far it's been amazingly helpful. Well, to be honest I haven't measured exactly how much it stretches or transfers, but I can tell you with certainty that I'll typically carry a 50 pound bag of dog food for a 24 mile trip with no problem (although the bag says it's a balanced meal ha ha…
