As others have said it's not a perfect product but decent for such a cheap product there is - Has a screw head for 2 different sizes - I need a smaller one so I have Removed the Top Screw Cons: - As previously mentioned, the 3 rubber feet can cause the product to tip over. I recommend removing them (I pryed them out with a screwdriver, maybe there's an easier way) - It has also been mentioned by others that there was some kind of black greasy coating on the base. This mic stand works reasonably well. It's strong enough and the right height. A little more weight on the baseplate would be nice. And why-oh-what, manufacturer, do you make 6 cutouts on the bottom plate and put rubber feet on only THREE of them? This leaves three directions in which the device can wobble (and tip over). In general, the stand is not bad, but the quality is not five stars. The first thing that struck me was how difficult it was to screw the stem into the base. I used it for a podcast. I had one that snapped at the end and looked like a disc jockey. But I'm sick of it, so I just want something that was literally right in front of my face on a stand. Well, I like it, but it doesn't feel like there's enough weight underneath to hold a good, sturdy condenser mic. You have to move a lot to keep him upright. Or did it somehow flip.
