not everything is easy. Just make sure you have a 1/4 inch drill bit.

Easy to install. Just make sure you have a 1/4" drill bit and the subfloor will drill easily. Looks office and modern. I placed it where the sauna carpet meets the hardwood floor. Thing doesn't look superfluous (amazingly :) Should last a century

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Fits

Innovative fastening system, no visible screws

Innovative fastening system, no visible screws. I wasn't sure how this would work as the anchor would need to be self leveling, the anchors set into the ground and then a strip attached to the anchors. I had laminate flooring bonded to linoleum and it worked great. It looks nice and smooth, no studs or nails, and I don't have those things that can catch the stockings on the transition strip.

Pros
  • High quality design
Cons
  • Transparency

Ideal for transitioning between existing uneven floors

Need a transition strip for a door with existing wood and vinyl laminate floors that are not the same height. Worked great and was easy to install. I used 4 out of 6 fasteners for a 30 inch door opening. The pins were easy to insert into the 1/4" holes - no rubber mallet really needed. There is a video of a similar product (hidden mounts) showing the installation. Opt for pewter over silver for a better match with brushed nickel door hardware.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Easy to install, works as advertised

I have used this product between hexagonal tiles in the bathroom floor and 12" x 24" porcelain stoneware tiles in the kitchen. I used a hacksaw with a medium sized metal blade to cut it. and a 1/4" drill bit which is recommended for drilling holes. The channel between the two tiles was dirty, the plastic plugs provided had to go through the grout, plywood and/or plywood in various places and I had no problems. Also in this 126 year old house the floors weren't level and the transition bar…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • So so

The appearance and installed product is attractive, although in my experience the hidden mounting system was a bit awkward to install. The concealed fastening system consisted of 6 plastic plugs with ribs and wings. The top of each connector slides into the channel guides on the bottom of the pole. You'll drill 1/4-inch holes in the floor, aligned with the centerline of the plank, the distance needed to open the door. Then insert the head/top of the plugs into the canal to line up with your…
