Good product unless you need to resize

This would be a great fix for my gap between the door and sill except it needs to be trimmed to allow the door to close against the frame. Directions show hacksaw. I have one and the force required to cut through the product and the rough edge is unacceptable.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Some issues

Hard time for me, I had an uneven floor.

Difficult time for me, I had to deal with uneven floors. But what really impressed me was that the sill was 36" wide, but you had to cut the ends to make it work with the jamb (even on a 36" door), especially the curved part. Strange design in my experience.

Perfect with a few tweaks

One day it was raining from the French doors in my bedroom. I ordered two of these and they were pretty easy to install in about an hour. Removed the door hinge pins, put the door on the saw, ripped off the old worn gasket, straightened in place, marked a line where they passed the door, cut the piece of aluminum to length with an angle grinder. I cut the rubber to length with scissors, adjusted it, screwed it on, put the door back in place. I bought them because of the small rim for water…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not bad but...

100% Efficient: Thresholds

I installed this on the bottom of the Therma Tru door. I had to rip out part of the Therma Tru Sill window sill and change the base to make it work, but the end result is that part combined with my window sill modification has made this door work better than ever, even if it does it is was new. I have no air leaks and absolutely no water ingress. A painter came to me and washed the house for painting. When he pressure washed the door and no water came in, we knew we had a winner. The work is…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Faulty

The product looks good and definitely contains a lot of material.

The product looks good and there is definitely a lot of material on the seal. That's great, but unfortunately didn't work on my interior floor. (I believe my scenario is rare and most others shouldn't have a problem). It is not so easy to completely stick the seal on the bottom of the door. I used soapy water and drew a lot. If you are inexperienced in installing it, it is probably best to install this door from below by removing the door from its hinges. Much easier to apply and taking care to

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance
