I've used them on watercooling radiator fans. I really like them because most of the M3 screws are hex and the fact that they are Phillips makes it so much easier for me. I think they are perfect for installing fans on black water-cooled PC heatsinks. My only concern is that there was a lot of loose iron oxide powder in the bag. I've never bought an oxide coated fastener so I don't know if that's normal or not. This caused a bit of a mess when removing the screws from the box, but they don't seem to come loose from the installed screws so all is fine.
