Magnavox ZV427MG9 DVD/VCR combo

This unit is easy to set up and operate with one button recording. The only complaint I have about it is that you can't seem to change the speed at which the VCR tape records. I'm still looking for it, so there might be a way, but I haven't found it yet. I would recommend this to anyone who still has videotapes they want to watch or if you're recording from a TV so you can fast forward to all those damn commercials they're showing on the show now. Wonderful! I would give 10 stars!

You can't be too picky about electronics these days. Gone are the days when big brands really mattered. In the old days, buying Magnavox meant something. In this case, I believe it still is. Seven or eight years ago I bought a Magnavox standalone DVD recorder from Walmart. I've recorded tons of DVDs on it, probably 100 literally, and I've recorded 1000 hours of playback on it. And of course it also plays copy-protected videocassettes that I have and still want to play from time to time. I connected it to my TV with an HDMI cable (not included). He rewrote…

Once connected properly, it is easy to use.

This is the second Magnavox ZV427MG9 DVD/VCR combo I have bought in 2 months. I really like these units. There are two things you need to pay attention to in order for this device to reach its full potential. First, your TV must have at least one composite input and one HDMI input, or this unit won't do what it's designed to do: dub VHS to DVD, dub DVD to VHS, and also won't record in 6 hour mode. on VHS cassettes. Second, it is important to press the SET TIMER button after you have programmed…
