This is an excellent product. It appears well made and the fact that it has a box that has individual places for each chess piece makes it especially nice. I highly recommend this for gift giving or individual use.

A great starter set, has everything I wanted out of it. Pieces are light but feel sturdy, the board is collapsable and storage is easy. Highly recommend!

I ordered this chess set for my adult daughter, who was visiting for the holidays. Her boyfriend is teaching her to play chess and I hadn't played since I was a child! I didn't want to spend a lot of money and this chess set was perfect. It's decent quality and the board sat flat. The pieces are well shaped and easy to slide on the board. I would recommend this set for anyone looking for a decent quality set for a great price.

arrived on time, brass latch was hanging off, screws were stripped out of holes, i glued them back in to secure them, pieces were poorly carved, my 7 yr. old granddaughter can sculpt better then these. the box and board were good but could have used alil more finish, i'll do that. overall it's to take camping so not worth sending back and going thru all the bull.! buyer beware.

Very nice chess set for home use. Pieces are stored inside enclosure and so they don't rattle around. Good quality wood pieces, and detailing of board is nice. Would recommend.

I have loved this chess set and I’ve used it to improve my skills ever since I got it. It’s a really nice quality wood and lightweight which I find nice. The pieces felted bottoms leaves no scratches on the board and I love how the pieces fold into the inside of the board. I purchased this item for my grandson who expressed a desire to learn the game. After searching around for chess sets that could be played at home and taken on the road, and most importantly, was within by price point, I chose this set. He absolutely loves his gift. I could not be more pleased.

Nice starter set, if I get serious about the game I may want to step up and spend some real money on a fancy set. The magnetic pieces are not very strong.

The quality is what I would expect for $23. the felt bottom is more like paper and bubble in the application need to be smoothed so the piece sets flat on the board. The pieces are lightweight. The board itself is good without any imperfections.

I purchased this for my husband. We are just learning & it's a perfect set. It looks nice and the pieces are magnetic, which I love. The board opens and lays nice & flat, can barely tell its two pieces.

I bought this chess set because it was reasonably priced and looked like the set I had as a kid. I have to say it’s exceeded my expectations! The wood and felt is quality and I love that the pieces tuck inside the box for easy storage. It was a great buy!

the board had a couple blemishes and when folded open has a slight ridge through the middle. nothing major but it would make me hesitate before giving it as a gift.

Honestly I was really excited for this board and was everything I excepted except for 2 problems.1) One of the Queens had a weird bump on the bottom and it doesn’t stand completely straight2) it didn’t come work additional queens for Pwns
