I have to say the build quality of this charger definitely surprised me. I bought this to replace my old car mount that was becoming too loose; This charger solved the problem by providing multiple areas where you can tighten the pan head. Also, the magnet is pretty strong (ignore other reviews that say it doesn't stick; you need a compatible case for the magnet to stick to!)

It does exactly what it promises! I used a bleed clip and it is secure and stays in place. Charging is quick, the cable is long enough to use in an SUV, and the USB port is on the floor. I would recommend. Much better than plugging in a lighting cord. Use with Apple Mag Safe. On my old iPhone, I had a metal disc inside the case and a magnetic vent clip. This worked fine, but I still have to connect a Lightning cable for charging. This makes charging and holding the phone a single task.

The concept of the magnet seems exaggeratedly well thought out: A metal plate is inserted into the housing (does not work without housing) and the magnet is attached to the housing from the outside, which adheres to the holder.
