Great set of brakes. The Mt5 is available for around the same price if the extra power is needed at the rear. The trail has different lever blades than the mt5 and mt4, that's what attracted me. The lever body is made of plastic, there were no problems with it after accidents. Bleeding is a little different than Shimano, for example. Pretty easy to bleed if you have a good bleed kit. The pads are easy to change. No springs to release, branded Magura pads are a bit more expensive but work better

This set is great for the price. I tried many kits before deciding on this one and I am very satisfied. I needed a good set of brakes, I weigh 220 pounds and do road trials on a budget bike. They bite very well (4-piston front is better than 2-piston rear). The levers are ideally designed for one or two finger operation. The modulation is much better than I expected, large range of pressure applied compared to "on" or "off". The queues are very long. I recommend buying a bleed kit, mine arrived

This was a one click brake solution for my new build, minus the rotors of course. I had enough hydraulic line to reach both ends of a large Krampus in my size 29+. After a short break-in period, the stopping power and modulation is enough for my 200-pound frame with 180mm rotors. Luckily, by carefully following the instructions, I was able to shorten the lines without bleeding the brakes. Very easy to install, align, cut hoses and bleed. The handle/reservoir is SUPER fragile - use caution when cutting and attempting to reset the anchor nut as it is very difficult to line up and tighten. I was sure mine was ripped off by the time it finally came in. I'm nervous about pens. It's very easy to spill blood - just squeeze some blood out of the grip (and onto all the bars :(. and you're done). Much easier than Sram or Shimano.
