Flimsy and unreliable tool

This punch is terrible. As my tests showed, it struggles to punch through even the thinnest metal sheets. The handle feels flimsy and the locking mechanism is unreliable. The only pro is that it is easy to use. The cons heavily outweigh this one positive feature. I would not recommend this tool to anyone in need of a reliable and sturdy punch.

Pros
  • Creates precise snap-lock punches to fit ducts together quickly and easily.
Cons
  • May require some practice to achieve desired results, particularly for those new to sheet metal installation.

Poorly designed snap ring pliers

Stopper required to create a snap tab rather than cutting through the fairing completely. Good tool for slitting, not for fixing tabs

Pros
  • Ergonomic compound lever Redline grips with natural fit and feel
Cons
  • Volume

I had to wait until 70 degrees.

I had to wait until the temperature reached 70 degrees to use it, even though the packaging says 36 degrees. Plus it does what I bought it for and it was there in 2 days.

Pros
  • Tabs grip over a large area and protect against slippage caused by heat stress relaxation of vinyl.
Cons
  • Discontinued model
