Reliable blocks for a kayak.

These blocks fit perfectly on the crossbars of my kayak. Reliable, durable, solid and shaped to match its mount. Emailed support and got a prompt response.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons

Total Failure Roof Rack

I managed this in about 15 minutes down the road before I managed to knock off one of the blocks under the kayak and almost knocked the boat out of my car. When I stopped and re-moored the kayak I had no problem securing it without using these blocks and continued walking for hours without even moving the boat. I would call this product so useless it's actually worse than not using it at all.

Pros
  • Pleasant to Use
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Works as advertised, works well in trunks and trunks

Works very well if you have crossbars and not so well if you have a bare roof (almost impossible to load the kayak yourself as the blocks roll and move ). I took off a star because inserting the crossbars into the blocks is long and difficult. I suspect that most women would not be able to do this on their own. Also make sure you have hooks on the front and back of your vehicle. Our Venza doesn't have rears, your god Subaru does.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not the best

Works great I usually put it right on the roof without using metal railings. However, it presses on the roof if you overtighten. However, my kayak is light and the off-road roof seems solid enough. You can mount it on a metal track with a groove, but I didn't try because the shape of the groove was different than the track on my SUV.

Good quality of accessories

Basically foam blocks are the best way to carry our kayaks. However if the kayaks are heavy I was told not to put the blocks directly on top of the car. I bought these foam blocks to install aero bars on my previous car but have since switched cars. The new machine has square bars, and the grooves in those blocks are too big for the bars, so they swing in place. While the bow and stern lines are a good safety measure during transport, an additional towing eye is required for the craft. The…

Car Top Foam Block Kayak Rack

Honestly disappointed. We've had good days with it and really bad ones. We placed blocks on a factory grate on our Outback. Position the kayak right side up, strap the beast through the rear doors and attach to the hitch at the rear and the only available metal at the front, located on either the left or right side of the car. I read all the other reviews and followed every advice at least once. It slides over the handlebars and the strap makes a deafening noise (even with the free end inside…
