I had to extend the tube closer to the bottom of my tank to remove excess feed and manure. You lose some suction, but it still works.

If you have a C220 and want to drop the INTAKE snorkel in the aquarium, this is the ticket. It fits over your existing J-tube and the original filter is perfect for this item. highlighted.

Will not fit all filters etc. I bought this knowing it wouldn't fit but it was my only option. I had to "get it to work" and I did and it seems to be working fine.

If you are buying this as an add on to an existing valve it is not. This is a replacement. Nothing will help you more than replacing the valve. It doesn't do anything different or new

If anyone has any of the AquaTech power filters commonly sold at Walmart, they are actually made by Marineland. This extension tube fits perfectly into the inlet tube of my AquaTech filter. The filter of the extension is identical to the original filter of the AquaTech filter.
