Sounds good but has some flaws

Pros: Sounds good (can add some bass and volume). Long battery life Possibility to connect two devices at the same time (sound playback alternately). Three if you count the 3.5mm jack. 360 sound (there's a midrange speaker on the back) Cons: This speaker almost shuts off after ten minutes of no sound. You have to press a button to wake him up. Bluetooth radio cannot be turned off. I already had a Marshall Kilburn speaker when I bought this Tufton. I'm deducting a star because this speaker…

Almost perfect for portable audio and video

I love this speaker, let's just get it out of the way. Form factor - size, weight, design aesthetics - everything is perfect. The volume and bass/treble controls feel solid, and contrary to some opinions, I like the lack of voice control, dual pairing, and all the other add-ons that mess up modern electronics. Bluetooth pairing is painless, and while I haven't tested the battery life, other reviews lead me to believe it's as advertised. It's almost perfect. Some reviews indicate the lack of…

Extremely good sound in a "small " package - audiophiles say: buy it!

I have a TON of wireless speakers. I have Bose, Bang, Aiwa, Altec, other Marshalls etc. This speaker is the best I have. The sound is exceptional. Portability is a feature I really wanted in a speaker of this size. And surprisingly, the battery life is really good. I've left it unplugged for over a few weeks with limited play and the charge hasn't expired. I listened to it at about 75% volume for 6 hours straight and it kept ringing. The aspect that makes it the "next generation" of Marshall…

Tufton is the best speaker in this price range

I was obsessed with this speaker. Every internet video, store test and review I could find. I've listened to all the competing Sony speakers, JBL Extreme 2, Boombox, Ion Audio, hooked up Bose Revolve+, even bought (and returned) Soundboks 2 and was lucky enough to hear a sample of Devialet Phantom. I prefer smooth, clean, deep bass. That's the essence of music for me. If the bass is right, it brings out all the other frequencies to their best advantage. Considering the price, there's nothing…

Overall rating compared to Kilburn II

Short answer if you're reading because you're trying to decide between Kilburn II and Tufton: Buy a Tufton if you can afford it. Especially if, like me, you can get it on sale for $319. . . Just $60 more than the Kilburn II's MSRP, and the Tufton sounds a lot better (although the Kilburn II is good in its class). Full Review: Before I talk about sound, which I know is important, a few comments on other features. I like it. Why do I write my comments about the sound last? Because let's face it…
