It's great for left handers

Ok I'm left handed and with other cutters I've had to keep switching from one cutter to another depending on where on the board I'm cutting up, down or in one direction. on the other hand with this cutter i only have to use this cutter because no matter which side i cut, the cutter is on the right side for me i like it now - let's see when i have to change the blades when i do that

Pros
  • Nice deal
Cons
  • Price piggy bank

This is an AWESOME left handed cutter!

Glad it exists! It is very convenient and easy to use. It has an integrated blade cover that is easy to use. I'm glad I also find it sturdy to keep my hand from slipping or potentially cutting itself. The blade is the sharpest blade I've ever dealt with compared to my knives etc so I was really surprised how I didn't have to apply any pressure and still cut through fabric. I really liked it and it's a great left-handed tool! Note: I'm new to using rotary cutters.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Read the user manual very carefully.

Be sure to read the instructions for hand placement as the blade is very sharp. It comes with a blade. I like the protective case, a really good security feature. I first heard about these ergonomic Martelli cutters at a quilt fair. I already have one in 45mm but wanted a bigger one as I cut 4 yards of material into 2 1/2 strips. My first cuts went through four layers of material, which he sliced through like butter. After cutting them, I stacked one on top of the other 8 strips folded in half…

Pros
  • Ideal for hands with arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis or hand fatigue. Available in left and right hand.
Cons
  • Big and chunky

One of the best things I've bought for a haircut!

WOW! Using it made such a difference. As a left-hander, I've mostly used straight rotary cutters in the past; Little did I know how much this would affect the accuracy of my cuts. And the handle is much easier to use - no wrist fatigue. The only suggestion I would give users is to watch closely where the blade comes out when you first switch blades; holds - very securely - and the gap is very narrow. It would be nice if one side of the plastic sloth was a different color to help distinguish it.

Pros
  • Import Designation: Made in USA or Imported
Cons
  • No Machine Gun

My main issue with these cutters is the blade. The blades are superbly sharp and capable of cutting through more layers of tissue, according to Martelli, but they are SO EASY TO BREAK! I don't use my cutting knife excessively and I have a cutting mat in good condition, but I'm relatively new to quilting and sometimes manage to catch the ruler when I put the cutting blade down. Not much just cleaning, the ruler has no damage but the edges of the blades just break off like they are glass…

Pros
  • Fabric type: 100% cotton
Cons
  • Very expensive
