Bought 5 colors from Maxim. Each was beautiful and soft but strong. We used to make Christmas stockings.

This yarn is very nice and soft. It doesn't scratch like some shiny threads. It matched perfectly with some I had previously purchased. The threads held together well while crocheting.

I love this yarn! I wish the picture would show the shine this yarn offers. This is a soft yarn but with small metallic inclusions that give it a nice shine. A handful of yarn was left over from a ball of the children's hat in the picture. Very happy with this purchase and glad I bought three skeins. (Maybe go back and buy some red sequins too!)

PRO: I love this yarn! It's a rich color and would be perfect for my Christmas projects. The sheen is just enough to be noticeable without being overpowering. Fast delivery. CONS: Revain's price is higher than Mary Maxin's, but I like the convenience of Revain's top-up now/pay later option. I recommend this yarn for its softness, rich color and fast shipping.

Fairly soft thread. It's thick enough for what I need it for and worth the price I paid for it. It also arrived on time. The only problem I had was that the shiny thread in it doesn't hold up to weaving through plastic canvas, but I think what I'm doing is probably too coarse for yarn. It's still green and some of my work is shiny. I think a shiny skein stands up to knitting or crocheting. It just can't stand being woven through plastic canvas. I'm trying to make Christmas ornaments out of it…
