Great for ease of use and price. Not blocked.

I have a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and recently purchased a slide in college mascot hitch. This pin fits perfectly into the jeep's pre-drilled holes and slides in. The colored end is spring loaded and easily lifts up and then folds down. It's only been running for 4 months so we'll have to see how it holds up to the weather and impact. So far so good (5 months).

Love the new locking pin style

A solid piece of metal that fits perfectly on my 2018 4Runner clutch. I like the new locking pin style, but I'm concerned that the internal spring that holds the blue part in the locked position will eventually fail. Too bad they didn't just make a turning screw mechanism. In general I like it very much. I only wish they made it in colors other than red and blue.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Minor issues

Indispensable; saves time and nerves!

I have 5/8" and 1/2" versions of this pen. The stainless steel is indestructible and the hitch lock works quickly and smoothly. There are no parts to lose and no gymnastics (put your head on the ground, try to install a clamp under the hitch or drawbar). You will never go back for cheap after trying it! For those wondering why this Master Lock product doesn't lock for security reasons, that's not its purpose. This pen saves time and nerves. Adding anti-theft features would also add complexity…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

  • Some difficulty

Easiest hitch pin I've ever used

I've tried different types of hitch pins over the years, from locking pins to simple pins that are held in place with a clip. This pin is without a doubt the easiest I've found! The blue cylinder head on this pen slides out and then rotates so that it is at a 90 degree angle to the pen itself. This keeps the pen firmly in place so you don't have to worry about it falling out. When you're ready to remove it, simply pull out the barrel head and rotate it in line with the pin so it pulls straight…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are flaws

These are the best. Solid stainless steel is great because it's not.

These are the best. Solid stainless steel is great because it won't rust - I've used them in salt water for years and with no signs, which is great because you never get your hands on them. But the real genius is in the attached lock. Barrel. Easy one-hand operation, firmly attached to the pen. It is impossible to lose (unlike cotter pins) and impossible to catch and pull out (like cotter pins). Seriously, simplicity is the most elegant solution here. I'm not worried about it being stolen…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Compatibility

I like the stainless steel material and hinge latch

ADVANTAGES: o Stainless steel so my previous ball joint in the socket on my truck shouldn't rust and the hitch pin, ball joint and socket became almost permanently rusty alloy. I spent a couple of days first sawing off the old clutch pin, spraying WD 40 in all the slots I could spray, and pounding it in with a hammer. I ended up using vinegar on it (a trick I found online). and ***FINALLY*** managed to pull the pieces apart. Since I had to saw off the old pin, I ordered one of these (which is…
