Fell apart not happy

I bought this tarp 4 months ago to cover our patio and give us some shade. After 2 weeks it started tearing and is now shredding. Definitely not a difficult task, given no imagination. If you are looking for a tarp that is suited to more forgiving purposes then this could be for you.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Only available in white

Works like a cheap tarp, it is

Simple cheap tarp. Hanging to protect our belongings when camping in the rain. The grommets ripped under their own weight. I had to wrap and tie the tarp around the grommets to keep it in the air. Again, this is a cheap tarp so it did what I expected. I was just hoping for a little more since it's advertised as beefed up

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Served 6 months now in pieces

Normal price but I wouldn't use it on the road. It tolerates neither wind nor sun. I had left it flat on the roof with blocks to keep it secure but after about two months it tore in a couple of places and then this winter the wind ripped it apart. Spend the extra money and buy a heavier one. I have another resistant brand.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

I gave this product 2 stars because 1 is canvas, not rated mils and 2 colors are correct! That's all! The advertised 20 x 20 is completely wrong! Of course I wasn't expecting exactly 20 x 20 but something close would be nice, I looked at the packaging and it said the hemmed edge was 19'2" x 19'6". That too is wrong! Actual size is 18'10" x 18'7". Strongly disappointed.

If only it was tied very well, not too tight and not too loose

I managed to use this tarp as a shelter only once downwind. The wind was probably 10 miles an hour. When tied up very well, not too tight and not too loose, I used poles to cover the tent and that tarp tore to shreds almost immediately. It barely lasted half a day on the trek before I had to heavily modify it with Gorilla Tape. Gorilla Tape is great for grommets and corners. The tarpaulin grommets burst almost immediately, the edges ripped off at the first gust of wind, and even the cornerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Updates

Worked while at work

We used this tarp to protect patio furniture last winter. The tarpaulin material itself is generally good (doesn't leak) and looks good too. However, after a few days of strong gusts of wind, the tarpaulin began to tear at the metal rings we used to secure the tarpaulin with bungee hooks. Maybe I didn't tighten it enough, but the wind always managed to slip under the tarpaulin in gusty conditions and when that happens there are very strong forces acting on the tarpaulin - maybe some kind ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

I am not happy with this product but it was cost effective.

I bought this cover to protect my car from the elements but it only lasted about 7 months before turning into confetti. This has held up the least of the 3 cases I've bought so far but I like the gray color but that's the only good thing I can say. breaking it just becomes nothing. It looked fine a week before it broke and fell apart, but upon closer inspection it was worn all over. I will say that two cases made of the same material all break in the same way, but this one only lasted 7 monthsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Obsolete
