Dogs are safe! for behavior tutorials

I've installed at least two 20 gauge dog fences and it's better in almost every way. Easier to stick into the ground, better to see. It's a bit stiff and difficult to deploy at first, but it's worth the extra cost. Easy to connect to the system, simply connect with smaller wire for low impact areas. For the connections you will need a larger waterproof nut than the one included in the kit.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • boring package

difficult conditions. Be sure to purchase compatible waterproof splice kits.

I like the extra thick insulation and solid copper core. It looks and feels high quality and durable. I also liked the roll, which was relatively easy (easier with two people) to unroll quickly over a large area. Note that due to the thick wire, you must be prepared to use larger wire nuts and larger waterproof splice kits than those that come with many earth fence kits.

  • handy thing

Just buy it first!

Save yourself the headache and just buy this wire with your underground fencing system first. We originally bought 20 gauge wire with our system. Installed, worked perfectly for a month, then broke down somewhere underground. I bought this cable and it was MUCH easier to install (you can get into the ground with it) and it works surprisingly well. I wish I had just gotten this to start and didn't have to install the wire twice!

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • I won't say anything

The best wire available.

1000 feet heavy. But it's a really well constructed wire that doesn't break as easily as the 20g wire I originally installed. I hate spending money but you get what you pay for. Works great with my Invisable Fence transmitter. You can raise the field as high as you like. Since I use most of this outdoors in my forest, I like the yellow color as it makes it easy to see the wire when looking for a break. I use horseshoe nails and nail them to random trees a few inches off the ground so they're…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

15 months later, not a single break!

I bought this wire to use as a robotic lawnmower boundary wire after the thin standard wire broke more than a dozen times in a year. The old wire broke so badly that I bought a wire finder to locate the break. It's just fixed on the lawn. Since then it has withstood the sun, extreme heat, extreme cold (February 2021 ice storm) and the light construction traffic required to build the barn. Not a single break on the 480 foot wire. Now I need another coil of wire to surround the shed and I didn't…

  • Very impressive

Will not break when hit by a Duke Power Truck.

I ran over 1700 feet of this wire for my dog's invisible fence system. The wire coating is very thick and the copper wire is of excellent quality. Ironically, a few days after I buried that wire, we had a large Duke Power Truck servicing one of the poles on our property. It rained continuously and almost everything turned to mud. Eventually, the truck's tires fell over the wire, but the wire was not damaged in the slightest! I know that if I used the thin wire that comes with the fence it would

Stop the frustration

I ended up using 2000 feet of this wire. I needed a strong wire that could transmit a strong signal to dog collars. This wire will do. I had a little trouble inserting and holding the cable into the transmitter. The wire goes in the slot but slips out. Finally everything worked and everything has been fine for a few days. If needed I can file the wires or just rough them up to hold the "latch" in place in the transmitter. I placed three orders and paid a different price for each foot - my…
