I couldn't get any of the energy saving outlets to work, regardless of whether other devices are plugged into the main outlet or not. smoke and mirrors. Works well as an extension cord for 3 outlets. I think you can save energy by using energy saving sockets as they never produce electricity for consumption :-)

Bought to make a small vacuum cleaner that I plug into my large miter saw when the saw is started. It then turns off the power to the vacuum after a short pause when I stop the saw (runs a little longer than the power to the saw). Works EXCELLENT!

I have just received this item to control two equivalent 100 watt LED table lamps, one of which acts as the main lamp so both can be turned on or off with a single switch. It works well. But I had to set the threshold switch to high. Given that the actual wattage of an LED bulb is only about 15W, I'm guessing the threshold switch label could be printed the other way around. I also noticed that there is about a 15 second delay between master and slave outputs when they are off.

I have my TV plugged into the master and my DVD player, games console and AVR plugged into a controlled outlet. When I turn off the TV, the peripherals still get power. It turns them off, but they still have power (the red LED is on to indicate power is available). This was intended to reduce the vampires' workload by removing power from the controlled outlets, but this is not happening. There is a "Sensitivity" switch, but changing the position of the switch had no effect. This is no different

There are two reasons some people have problems with this product: 1) they don't know what they bought and 2) they don't understand how this powerband works is working. This extension works 100% as it should without any issues. The device connected to the master socket controls 5 slave sockets. When this unit is turned on, ALL 5 slave sockets will also be turned on. When this device is off, ALL 5 slave terminals are also off. The 5 slave sockets cannot work independently like a normal power…
