I was a little scared when I got it. Reviews say they're easy to install, but I wasn't sure I could pull it off. I'm telling you I can handle it! And if I can, ANYONE can. Not only are they incredibly easy to install on my 2008 Nissan Pathfinder, they work amazingly well. Money well spent! I wish I had had her many years ago

Great product, works better than OEM (high lift). The design seems better. The seller shipped my order promptly and each frame was individually wrapped in a separate waterproof plastic bag. Just be careful during installation as removing worn struts can cause the tailgate to fall suddenly and cause personal injury.

It took longer to find my latest version than to uninstall/replace. I also have these for our xterra. 2008. Excellent replacement. Very easy to install. Just take a small flat head to lightly slide the locking ring onto the ones to be removed. Make sure your last one supports the door, because no kidding, these cargo doors are heavier than intended.

Very easy install on our Pathfinder '07, husband was busy doing something else. I read a previous user tip and loosened some of the rings with a flat head, the old broken ones popped out instantly and the new ones installed - instantly - in a minute. Seems to be well built, durable products that don't compress from what I've read in reviews of other brands. For the record, I'm 5ft 1in tall, weigh 132 pounds and do very few DIY projects at home.

Got it in my daughter's Pathfinder (model 2005 - 2012) and this car has a heavy lifting door. They were a bit tricky to install as they are a bit thicker than stock and strangely Nissan already stuffed them in there. Do not remove the tailgate sunroof bracket, although you may be tempted to do so, as it will block access to the top of the pillar. You can do this. It's all at the wrist. I will buy again and recommend. Excellent goods. Now if they would make a size for my Kia Soul

I used to wince when I had to open the trunk because the tailgate on my 2006 Pathfinder fell off in cold weather and wouldn't lift at all in the summer. Luckily I got bored, I bought these shelves and I'm very satisfied! Awesome, very easy to install on my car (I basically popped out the C-clip and popped out of the ball joint). I would definitely like to do that sooner. Note that I didn't have anyone to help me hold the tailgate open so I just installed an A-frame ladder. It worked perfectly.

I bought this because I was tired of manually holding the tailgate open. There are no instructions in the kit, but you can see how to install it on YouTube. It took me about 5-10 minutes to remove the old ones and install the new ones. I'm not sure how much the dealer will charge for it, but I'm sure it's more than the $20 paid for the kit and home delivery. They work as they should. The sunroof closes with a little effort and opens by itself after unlocking. I am very happy with this purchase…
