Replaced a stolen cat in a 2007 Prius

A week after I bought the car I had a cat converter stolen in my 2007 Prius. Bought, new Denso O2 sensor and $300 job. The car runs great for the last 1000 km.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Can't remember but something happened

Great replacement for a stolen catalytic converter.

All major manifold and torque converter gaskets fit perfectly. The machine is running smoothly again. I am hoping that this seller will offer the front seal separately as there is a demand for it.

Pros
  • Handsome
Cons
  • Slightly dented

STEALING CATS!? got a job

when the store charged 1500 for a replacement i did it for a tenth the price and it was stupid easy. If you do it yourself you will need a percussion gun and probably one that will let air through as the exhaust studs are tapered and my 18v Makita impact did nothing.

Pros
  • decent performance
Cons
  • poor rate

Fits 2006 Toyota Prius

My catalytic converter died and I bought some of them on ebay but they were useless. I bought this as a last resort and was very surprised that it works and fits great. My car had emissions issues prior to purchase and after replacing the catalytic converter myself it passed first time, highly recommend.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • too stupid

Perfect replacement component for my 2008 Toyota Prius

Perfect fit and easy installation for the replacement catalytic converter that was stolen from my 2008 Toyota Prius. The assembly has been packed in suitable protective packaging to ensure that the unit will not be damaged during transit. I had no problems after installing and after running my car. Great product at a great price for an aftermarket replacement.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Operating Speed

P0420 Released - Catalytic Converters

This was my last choice when repairing p0420 but after all my budget corrections nothing worked. So I bit the bullet and bought a new cat. I welded it at a local shop for $100. For some reason, many stores were nervous. If you have hands, you could install it safely. This is an easy install and comes with hardware to mount it without welding. I decided to weld to ensure there would be no leaks in the future. I will update when error p0420 occurs.

  • Good Thing
Cons
  • Available in White Only

Best match for my 2005 Prius in terms of catalytic converters

This is the second Cat catalytic converter I've had to convert to a Prius Gen 2, both because some $@*((% stole the original cat I was happy with it On delivery it was packaged very well. It fitted well. In both cases I had a muffler shop temporarily weld the pipe to the car until I could get an aftermarket converter. In this case I just cut the pipe off, installed and screwed in place the two muffler clips and put them on, then use the new 02 sensor (get a denso sensor with connector, the 02…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Value, Prius 2009

Look no further. If your catalytic converter has been stolen, like most of us, buy it. You get exactly what you see in the picture: nice uniform stainless steel, high quality welds and correct fit (flange with gasket and rosette). It's made in China but beats ANY other third party in quality and price (damn Chinese). straight to the exhaust pipe where the thieves cut through my shaft and got close to the exhaust manifold. Tip: Use the supplied flange, it fits better than the old one I had. Both

2 Gen 2 Prius owners.

I own a Prius 2 Gen 2. I have had to replace the cat on both several times. Both are approaching the 400,000 kilometer mark. Toyota told me that they eat oil and over time it clogs the checkpoint. The first time I did it myself was the hardest. The reason is that I had a heck of a lot of time to remove the 2 bolts holding the CAT to the Prius. I found an easy way online to heat the screws with a blowtorch to loosen them. Believe it or not, the screws came loose very easily afterwards. Now I…
