1 worked, 1 didn't work

One heater didn't work, ready to use. The other is fine and puts out enough heat for my birds. I would have given a full statistic if I hadn't received a defective lightbulb.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great little heater

I bought these because they were smaller than most. I use them for temperature control in refrigerators for kegerators and fermenters. They work great and don't dim the lights to damage the beer.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Don't invest in it.

I ordered two, got two, but only one really worked. replacement ordered. The same thing. After wasting time and hassle, I now have two that actually work. A product idea is only great when it works. So get ready to go back and forth.

Bulbs burn out quickly

We have purchased these bulbs within the last three months and each bulb only lasts about a month before burning out. The tip of Edison's socket appears to have melted. The lights are on thermostats and turn off when needed. We have one ready to use. The price is reasonable but we expected it to last a lot longer.

Pros
  • Hands-Free Operation
Cons
  • Update Availability

Not strong enough for outdoor chicken coop

I bought these for my small outdoor coop and unfortunately they couldn't handle even 40 degree heat. They felt cold despite being worn. (I tested them indoors and they worked but still didn't generate much heat). I had to resort to large, chunky lightbulbs to keep them warm enough in freezing temperatures to keep the water from freezing.

  • New
Cons
  • Not sure

MORE LIKE 1000 WATTS, EXTREME FIRE HAZARD

If you could harness the sun's energy in a light bulb, this is what you need. I inflated it on my turtle topper and it melted some of the plastic on the topper in less than a minute. That's the heck, I would NEVER use them without the presence and a fire extinguisher in hand. Seriously, unless you're using this in an enclosed dome light, don't even think about those black magic lamps. I will save her if the world freezes over.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • So-so

Would I buy again - Terrarium Heat Lamps and Mats

I haven't had them that long but they're definitely doing the job so far. They're hot as F so you really need to make sure you have the right mount or you'll cook up a lizard or snake or whatever you use with it. The temperature fluctuates a bit, but that's not a cause for concern for me. He stays within reach, which is really the only job I care about. BE CAREFUL where you store your ceramic radiant heaters and make sure they are the right size/wattage - I can't stress this enough. I can…

*** REVISED *** One of the two died in less than 3 hours of use

*** REVISED 12/16/2020 *** Will try another one now and see if it lasts, stay tuned. I purchased these 100 watt mini ceramic infrared heaters from MD Lighting to heat the drinking water compartments and lithium batteries in my truck - the water situation speaks for itself and is no tragedy if it doesn't work 100% 100% of the time. However, lithium batteries do not charge below zero at all and prefer temperatures around 50-70f for a full and fast charge. Combine 2 of these bulbs with a…
