I love the size and shape of this measuring cup, but after two washes in the dishwasher, the measuring lines have completely disappeared. Now I use the vessel as a small teapot. It can no longer be used as a measuring cup.

I bought this mug to replace an old Tupperware plastic mug. I'm done with plastic in the kitchen! It pours easily without spilling, the quantity is clearly indicated and it comes out of the dishwasher sparkling clean. Very happy with it, the plastic one is now in the grandchildren's sandbox.

The main reason I bought it was because unlike modern Pyrex it's made from borosilicate glass and its shape is more castable than some of the competition. Despite claims that the dishwasher unfortunately didn't affect the readability of the dimensions, after several rinses in the dishwasher, they can hardly be distinguished. Pretty disappointed with this product as it now requires over-focusing to use accurately.

I've been using old/branded measuring cups since 1959. They're still in my closet. But I wanted to send a gift and got one myself. I'm glad it takes up a lot less closet space. The material it is made of is microwave and dishwasher safe. More importantly, it is thinner in shape and lighter in weight. Important for arthritis in the hands. The gift I gave is good, they said it was beautiful and loved it. I managed! I think you should try it too!

The product arrived in a damaged unsatisfactory condition. I noticed a chip on the grommet/lip on one side. Rather than bear the cost, inconvenience, and environmental impact of returning the item, I sanded the chip down with various types of sandpaper/emery paper. Not everyone knows that a mug is not always a mug in other countries. I bought this mug to use for recipes that measure liquids in milliliters, but my husband and son-in-law used this mug over the holidays to cook and bake bread (American recipes) and the "mug" label used. Unfortunately, I only looked at previous reviews AFTER I ordered this very beautiful and seemingly perfect measuring cup. Too late to cancel, did I realize how bad it could be? This is bad. A one-cup measure differs by a whole ounce. I measured a cup in two different measuring cups and poured it into a new one and both times the volume was less than an ounce.
