If your home is like mine, cloth tape measures seem to evaporate where you put them. They don't break, they just pop. The texture is definitely firm and feels like it should last a long time. For only a few dollars it's very good. The color is lighter than the picture, but that doesn't bother me. I used two other rulers to ensure all measurements are correct. If you can read a ruler, you should be able to read it in inches and centimeters as well as possible. A bit of pink has fallen onto the white but it doesn't interfere with the function of the product unless you think so.

Love this tape measure and the color choices too. They are fat and not skinny. Its width is quite thin, but that doesn't bother me, it still does the job. I shop online a lot so I use it to get my correct measurements and I also use it to measure myself before I start working out and even to get the correct measurements for my custom made wigs . I compared the white to my trusty Omnigrid Rulers and then to the Stanley Tape Measure. This tape measure fell about 1/4 inch below 15 inches. That is, at the point where the other two rulers showed 14.75 inches, this tape measure showed 15 inches.
